The Glow Up
Unbothered (Vice Media Publication) reimagined a nostalgic afternoon joy ride with the girls to celebrate Black beauty in all its forms; creativity, hair + makeup, music, fashion, skating, the list goes on. Headlined by Latto, Coco Jones and a myriad of cross-discplinary creatives, the 3-day event in Atlanta featured thematic sponsor zones, including but not limited to, a roller rink, recording studio, beauty salon and event space for a variety of programming.
Kelsey lead creative ideation, design and build-out, transforming 9,000 square feet of raw space into a fully immersive and thematic venue. Below outlines some of the larger spaces throughout the event.

Creator’s Studio
Sponsored by Target, this space was inspired by the place most of us create; our bedroom. Wanting to give attendees an evergreen location to workshop their creative passions or kickstart a new one, this space featured a photo studio, recording studio, audio prompts, and a host of creative resources in addition to specialised programming.

Glow N’ Roll
Sponsored by Clorox, one of the main features of The Glow Up was a roller rink with live DJ and additional lounge seating. The space captured the pulse and energy of the entire event, providing a literal stage for Atlanta’s finest to roll out.

Glow Up Bar
Sponsored by Ulta, the Glow Up Bar took inspiration from where Black beauty first got its start; the bedroom, the beauty supply store and auntie’s bathroom. With three designated and diversely designed spaces this maximilast area served a functional purpose for hair, skin and makeup 1:1s with Ulta’s trained specialists. The space was complete with additional product sampling stations and a large customized mirror for the perfect post-glam photo op.
Woosah Pavillion
Also known as the main stage, this massive auditorium-like space was designed to embody the aesthetics of The Glow Up while affording opportunity to change and adapt depending on programming. From keynote speeches, nail demos, meditations, and headlining performances, Woosah Pavillion saw it all.
